What is a monthly renewal date?
Your monthly renewal date is the date each month that i-wireless collects the fee for your next month of service from your account balance. The system will collect the fee from your account at approximately 12:01 a.m. on your monthly renewal date.
Monthly renewal dates are based on a calendar month. If you begin your plan on the 11th, your next monthly renewal fee will be due at approximately 12:01 a.m. on the 11th of each following month.
What if your monthly renewal date is the 29th, 30th, or 31st?
In a month that does not contain your renewal date, your monthly renewal date will be the last day of the month. For example, if your monthly renewal date is the 30th, in February, the service fee will be collected on the 28th.
You will need the monthly service fee for your plan on your account by 12:01 a.m. on your monthly renewal date to renew your next month of service. The system will look for your next payment and automatically collect the next monthly renewal fee. When the renewal fee has been collected, you will receive a text message the following morning. Below is an example of the text message that you will receive:
"Your order for the Unlimited Smartphone Monthly plan has been processed."
What if I miss my renewal date?
If you miss your monthly renewal date but would like to sign up for another month of service, simply bring your balance back up to the minimum monthly service fee amount within 31 days of missing your monthly renewal collection date. Within 30 minutes, the system will collect the service fee from your account, and provide you with another month of service.
If you do not have the minimum balance in your account when the system looks for the monthly renewal fee, no money will be taken from your account. Your account will automatically switch to pay-per-use status, with the following rates: Voice: 10¢ per minute. Text and data: 20¢ per text message sent free to receive, 5¢ per kilobyte for WAP browsing, 20¢ per picture message sent, free to receive (additional data charges of 5¢ per kilobyte apply to sending and receiving picture messages).
What are these text messages?
You may receive text messages from i-wireless, informing you of anniversary dates, account balance, etc. These are of no charge to you, but are friendly reminders of your accounts status.
How do I sign up for nationwide roaming?
There's no need to sign up. All monthly plans include 100 minutes of nationwide roaming and additional minutes are just $0.10 per minute. That's it.
How will I know when I am roaming?
Before making a call, look for the "i roam" tag at the top of your phone's screen.
Will my phone still work the same when I roam?
When you roam, your i-wireless phone will NOT be able to access the web, send a picture message or download ringtones, graphics or games.
What happens when my monthly renewal date expires while I am roaming?
Make sure to add money before your monthly renewal date comes. If your monthly renewal date arrives and you don't have the minimum balance for the monthly service fee, your phone will not work while you are roaming. Dial 1-877-231-2402 from a landline phone and follow the prompts to add money to your account when this happens.
